What Conclusions Are Stopping Your Business? ~ Christine McIver

As an entrepreneur, it’s easy to get stuck in a loop of self-limiting beliefs, assumptions, and conclusions. We often fail to recognize how our own thinking might be keeping us from growing and scaling our businesses. In my recent podcast episode, What Conclusions Are Stopping Your Business?, I dove deep into how subconscious beliefs and conclusions shape the direction of our businesses, sometimes to our detriment.

One of the biggest challenges we face is not external obstacles, but the internal ones we’ve created. These are often conclusions we’ve drawn about our businesses, our capabilities, and even the marketplace. Think about the times you’ve said to yourself, “This is how it’s always been done,” or “I’m just not good enough to compete with them.” These conclusions close doors before we even have a chance to open them.

Why It’s Time to Break Free

When you become self-aware of the conclusions you’ve made, you’re opening the door to change. I’ve learned that the first step to overcoming mental roadblocks is acknowledging them. In my own experience, I often found myself caught in cycles of scarcity thinking. I would hit a milestone in revenue, only to find that my bank account and emotional state weren’t reflecting that success. It wasn’t until I challenged my assumptions around money that I began to break free.

Your thoughts have power, and the words you speak – both to others and yourself – can either open or close doors. If you’re constantly telling yourself that your business isn’t growing fast enough or that your market is too saturated, you’re subconsciously keeping yourself stuck. That’s why I believe self-awareness is such a game-changer. When you observe your thoughts and words, you can begin to recognize those limiting conclusions and replace them with empowering beliefs that can drive your business forward.

Remember, true success isn’t just about how much you make – it’s about how much you keep and how it makes you feel. Building a business that not only grows your bank account but also enriches your life takes time, effort, and a willingness to shift your mindset.

Shifting Your Mindset for Growth

The truth is, you don’t need to remain stuck in these limiting patterns. Start by becoming more intentional with the words you use and the assumptions you make about your business. When you catch yourself thinking or saying something negative, stop and ask, “Is this serving me or my business?” I promise you that making this shift, even gradually, will begin to unlock new opportunities.

Another powerful step is working with a coach – someone who can help you spot these conclusions, gently challenge them, and help to hold you accountable. Sometimes, it takes an outside perspective to help you see what you can’t. But only you have the power to make the changes necessary to move your business forward. It’s a journey, but one that’s worth taking.

If you want to start making shifts in your business, I encourage you to ask intentional questions and be open to receiving new answers. The doors will begin to open, and your business will follow suit.
