Love bombing is a manipulative tactic where someone showers another person with excessive affection, attention, and praise to gain control or influence over them. Love bombing was a tactic discussed as a cult practise in the 1970’s and has become a common term that is often misused. The more access we have to psychological terminology the more often people use terms like “love bombing” in ways that are not actually accurate.
