Good Me vs The Hood Me is a powerful 24-minute talk that explores the internal battle between survival instincts and purpose-driven leadership. The “Hood Me” represents pain, trauma, defense mechanisms, and choices shaped by environment and survival. Dr. Paul Miller is an author, global speaker, and educator who is changing the world through transformative leadership and purpose-driven impact. He holds an Ed.D in Executive Leadership and brings over 25 years of experience in urban public education, specializing in school redesign and reform. He has led collaborative missions, visions, and DEI initiatives that drive meaningful change for students and communities. During his 11 years at Green Tech Charter School, Dr. Miller achieved exceptional results, more than doubling graduation rates for Black males to over 95 percent, earning recognition from New York State. He currently serves as Chief Academic Officer for EDceptional, continuing his mission to elevate educational outcomes and leadership development. His books inspire action and healing, including From the Gutter to Greatness and The Good Me and the Hood Me. He received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for his leadership impact.
