Failure OR Learning? ~ Jackie Mott
Time to Rise & Thrive with Jackie Mott
When you mess something up, is your immediate reaction to feel like a failure or to look for the lesson? We seem to have this idea that failing is a bad thing, or even worse, that experiencing failure makes us bad people. But what if we’ve been given incorrect information? What if failure is actually a necessary part of learning?
When a baby is learning to walk, how many times does it fall down? Would you ever even considering yelling “Bad baby!” when it happens, or would you encourage them to get back up and try again? Falling is a necessary part of learning to walk. Every time you fall, you get back up having learned new information about how to position your feet, about balance, speed… SO many things! Now what if you considered that every time you FAIL, you get back up having learned new information that will help you do better next time?
Join Jackie Mott on this week’s episode of Time to Rise & Thrive, “Failure OR Learning?”, where she will share her journey of learning that failure, although it may be difficult, is a good thing and how that one shift in thinking can determine how successful you will be.
