When we hear the word addiction, where do our thoughts go to? People who get drunk or take drugs. That’s not the only addiction there is. People can be addicted to shopping, to sex, to adrenaline rushes, to food, to work, to money or status. When we look at what causes addictions, so often it is considered a lack of willpower. Is it really a lack of willpower or, in the case of alcohol a chemical imbalance? Or is there something completely different at the root.

Come join my guest Marilyn Bradford and me as we explore this subject. Marilyn has years of experience in working with addicts and she has a completely different view of what is at the root of addiction. It may be a surprise for many. What if we can take away the stigma of addiction and address the underlying cause?

Marilyn Bradford, LCSW, CFMW, and MEd., is a therapist, teacher, and speaker who gives lectures and workshops worldwide. She has worked in the fields of mental health, self empowerment and addiction for over 20 years. Finding traditional treatments, theories of mental health and self actualization ineffective, she approached Gary Douglas, the founder of Access, to see what else might be possible.

Together they founded Right Recovery For You, LLC, a radical and unique program, which utilizes transformational tools, techniques and information to empower people to permanently end any addictive or limiting behavior or belief system. Results from using this model include decreased counseling and processing time, an increase of self-awareness and mastery, as well as the freedom for the client to move on and generate and create a life they truly desire.

Marilyn facilitates tele-classes, in person classes, and private sessions dealing with all ways that addiction shows up, including but not limited to: addiction to judgment, being wrong, alcohol, relationships, food and eating “disorders”, cigarettes, poverty, drugs, fixing other people’s problems, polarity and playing small.

~ More About Dancing Your Life with Corinna Stoeffl ~

I love to watch ravens dance on the wind, the stronger the wind, the more fun they seem to have. What if we danced our lives?

What do I mean with that?
How much fun and ease can we have in our lives?
How much intensity would we allow ourselves to experience?
How much elegance would we enjoy?
What could change if we were in communion with others, with animals and plants, with the earth?
What if nothing had significance?
It is not that I know all or have answers to any of those questions above. I am curious, I like to explore, I will even jump if necessary in order to find out. Would you like to join me on that exploration? On this journey, I will use the tools of Access Consciousness®, the conversations we have and my love of looking at something from all different angles (what I jokingly call mental gymnastics.)

I invite you to a lighthearted and fun exploration of all of life.
